Matilda!

Happy, quiet, December morning in the forest!

That evening, we had tickets to see Matilda the Musical. Matilda is Thora's favorite ever. She loves Roald Dahl and he makes her life magic. Shad and I both thought the same thing when we heard about the show being in town. We had to take our girl. And everyone else who was interested. Sam was too young, so we couldn't buy him a ticket, but he got to have a fun night at his friend, Spencer's house. Apparently, he was a little confused about the situation and didn't realize it was temporary and that we'd come back to get him and take him home for bed. Once Aly explained that to him, he got more comfortable with his friends going through their bedtime routine and he politely declined joining them because he would do that at home. That's my two-year-old!

We managed to get to sit next to each other.

Intermission and cuddles!

And silly faces.

Shad, Katie, and Dancy (rocking her Cinderella dress).

Looking up Roald Dahl info. He wrote sex books for adults. And I'm not talking about snozzcumbers and snozzberries...

Oh, you know, just a morning tea party.

Katie watching a giant donut in creation at Hurts Donuts.

Went to a painting party at my friend Katie D-rage's house.

(Still not on the wall yet because we've only recently decided to stop trying to move to China for a while.)

More random morning entertainment. Can you spot Dancy?

I kept hiking the Incline any chance I got. This tree at the top was decorated in December.

I got my time down to 1:45 roundtrip!

In a neighborhood near us, there are 10 houses that participate in a musical light show. Tune into the radio station the lights tell you to and you'll get the music that goes with the lights.

"Deck the Halls"

"Can't Stop the Feeling"
