Celestial Seasonings and Georgetown Christmas Market

First weekend of December, we wanted to go to the Christmas Market in Georgetown, so we made a weekend of it by dropping off Sam and Thora with Shad's parents and the rest of us drove to Boulder to tour Celestial Seasonings. Free factory tours every half hour, minimum age is 5. After the tour, we spent forever in the café sampling probably half of their tea list and marking what we liked on the full list they gave us. I really liked that they even have a catalogue of ingredients so we could find all the teas that have licorice. Then we walked next door to the store where they have all of the teas and we bought...what we consider might be a year-supply just of the teas that I can't find at my local stores. Watermelon Lime was quite a favorite and we're happy to have recently found at Sprouts.

She warmed up to this room only after I picked up the cat and swung it around to show her it was fake.

Sleepytime!

Just need a book and a cup, right?

Verdict: I don't recommend this.

We spent the night at Dan's house, then drove up to Georgetown the following morning.

Santa was at the library where we ducked in to warm for a bit.

Back outside...we got to the street just in time to watch the children's St. Lucia parade.

St. Lucia with her attendants.

This dapper gentleman served as the doorman/bouncer for Shoppe Internationale, Georgetown's Christmas shop that is open year-round. And oh, the dala horses! I'm glad the kids were just as excited as I was.

Love this!

So many funny things in this picture! Dancy's mouth is full of hamburger, Thora is crying and has her shoes on the wrong feet and intense high waters...I don't know how, Tommy also has chipmunk cheeks, and when we grouped this, St. Nicholas was not there. He was so proud of himself for photobombing us!

And then we had this majestic drive through the mountains and valleys to get home.

"I'm Queen Victoria!"
We're only a little bit obsessed with her.
