Grandma's Museum: Cuba!

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science had a fantastic temporary exhibit: Cuba!

Such beautiful sights and sounds! We had fun learning about culture, lifestyles, biology, and more.

Street band!

Tell you what, I'm gonna go to Cuba some day. This was such a delightful exhibit and now I need the real thing.

The exhibit ended with a room of testimonials by Cuban Coloradans. This one by a former mayor of Denver. Picture to remember a book to read.

Went to a planetarium show and Baby Bear fell asleep on me...with his Mardi Gras beads in his mouth!

In Discovery Zone:

Samson practiced and practiced with this ball system and got the wheels all figured out so he could do it.

Ice Cream Shop!

And cupcakes

And jumbo light bright.

Katie worked so hard on this Keva block tower. I'm just glad I caught it's destruction-by-three-year-old on video.

Then down to Space Odyssey:

Another picture for books to read.

We ended the night by going to Barnes & Noble to spend the gift cards we got for Christmas from my sister Becky and Shad's brother Levi. Since we were planning a roadtrip for Christmas, we wanted to just do without gifts this year, but books...books, I could handle. Thanks for books, Elmers and Levi!

Remember how Thora and her BFF Lori love unicorns? Thora just about lost it when I showed her this as an option at Barnes & Noble.
