Our hosts in Las Vegas (okay, Henderson) were Rachel and Andrew. Andrew was my Family Home Evening brother at BYU-Idaho my first semester there and he was dating Rachel, who was my next door neighbor. The next semester, I moved to Rachel's apartment and she and I shared a room. Laughing over the cousin my neighbors thought I was dating (before they knew he was my cousin), "Your mom's top heavy!", sneaking into guys' apartments in the middle of the night to heart attack on the inside, pantsing in the kitchen, and being called Lil Megan again by the people who named me that. It was a very strong feeling of home.
We hung out around the house and had a laidback couple of days letting the kids play and be free while Rachel, Andrew, and I talked.
Five stuffed grapes in his mouth and requested a picture.
Rachel and I took the kids to a splash pad. Two saw this obstacle course set up and got excited because it was like Ultimate Beastmaster on Netflix!

I didn't count how many times Four climbed this. She just couldn't get enough of it, or of asking for pictures.
Sunday evening we went to Rachel's parents' house for dinner with them and her siblings. Her parents had just returned from Europe where they had been for her dad to ride in a bike race. Gorgeous full moon over desert palms.
Then we drove up to the temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, trying to get a great view of the city, but apparently Rachel's sweet spot is inside the temple gates which were closed. We still enjoyed the views.
