Nomad UT/LV Trip, Day 4: St. George

Day 4 in St. George was a laidback day. No driving and hiking for hours, just a relaxed morning before meeting friends at a park. So Five enjoyed a slow, no-rush breakfast with me.

One practiced doing cartwheels down one step and back up.

We met my friends, Sharley and Jonah, at a park with their kids, Elias and Ann. The park had really cool slides, built in shade, dinosaurs, water area, and a zipline! The only thing missing was a hammock for me.

Four was so brave with this zipline after she rode with Uncle Aaron in Wisconsin.

This is my brother Sharley! We made quick friends in our church's singles' ward. Prank wars, mud wrestling, celebrating the departure of certain people, and flying to California (perks of her working with Southwest) for a whirlwind 24-hour trip to Disneyland for her 25th birthday and my 20th (same day). And then I decorated her wedding cake which almost ended me when I was 8 months pregnant with One. That was a beast of a cake! Not my worst, just a fun one to reminisce about.

We stayed at the park for 3 hours and were happy and comfortable the whole time. That amazes me with that heat. Maybe we were acclimating. Then I took the kids to In-N-Out for lunch, back to Irene's where we played Splendor, had glorious naps, and woke to find Sarah back home from school. Sarah is so very dear to me. She's the youngest of 10 kids and has Downs Syndrome. I had seminary at her family's house for a year in high school and I just loved that little baby to pieces! Then they moved to Utah and I saw them once when Sarah was 6. Now she's 16 and the kids were such good friends with her because she's so silly, goofy, and playful. It did my heart good to see her and reconnect.

Raspberries!

No reason for the latex gloves except that she wanted to wear them.

They might've watched this Kung Fu Panda short...5 or more times.

That smile is so mischievous!

Sarah joined us for nighttime scriptures and prayer.
